SAP said on October 6 it has agreed to acquire TechWolf, a Ghent-based company whose software maps the tasks and skills inside an organisation from its existing HR and business systems. TechWolf joins the SuccessFactors portfolio but stays a separate entity under chief executive Andreas De Neve, and remains on sale to companies that do not use SAP. Customers include HSBC, GSK, Ericsson, AMD, MetLife, PayPal and Booking.com. The price was not disclosed; closing is planned for the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approval.
Why it matters for listed companies
SAP did not give a price, so there is no figure to set against its earnings; the effect on its accounts is small. The finance angle is where the product sits: SuccessFactors is SAP's HR cloud line, and data on which tasks employees actually do is what an AI agent needs before a customer pays for it to take work over. Rivals in HR software such as Workday and Oracle sell against the same budgets. J.P. Morgan advised TechWolf.
