Smart-ring maker Oura postpones its up-to-$2.2 billion US IPO, citing market uncertainty

US Consumer Discretionary Health Care

What happened

Oura postponed its IPO indefinitely after marketing 50 million shares at $40-$44, a deal that would have raised up to $2.2 billion and valued the company at about $14.9 billion on a fully diluted basis at the midpoint. It cited uncertainty in the IPO market. Oura said it has 5.7 million paying members and projects 2026 revenue growth of 90% from $907.9 million in 2025; Forerunner Ventures had planned to sell its entire 9.3% stake in the offering.

Why it matters for listed companies

The pulled deal followed Holtec Nuclear's suspended and later withdrawn IPO and Bamboo Insurance's delayed listing, a sign that a spike in bond yields and fears of more Federal Reserve rate hikes had narrowed the window for new listings, with investors more selective on growth valuations. That matters for equity underwriting fees at investment banks such as Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, for venture-backed companies seeking liquidity, and for listed wearables and health-device makers that would have been compared with Oura.
