A round-up by Upstox lists four mainboard issues that may launch in October. Jio Platforms is put at Rs 37,700 crore, a fresh issue of 27 crore shares with bidding on October 21-23 and listing on October 28. Hospital chain Paras Healthcare plans about Rs 1,800 crore: Rs 500 crore of new shares and a Rs 1,300 crore offer for sale. Tonbo Imaging India's issue is an offer for sale of 1.81 crore shares, and SFC Environmental Technologies plans Rs 150 crore of new shares plus a sale of 1.23 crore shares. The report says none of the four has been officially announced.
Why it matters for listed companies
After a week with one small new issue, October's fundraising depends almost entirely on Jio Platforms, whose reported size is about twenty times that of Paras Healthcare. In Tonbo Imaging's case all proceeds go to selling shareholders and none to the company; at Paras and SFC the larger part is also an offer for sale. Dates and price bands for the three smaller issues are not public, and the Jio dates come from press reports, not from a prospectus.
